A painfully shy boy spends most of his time playing baseball with his granddad or talking to an imaginary friend. When his grandfather has a stroke and becomes catatonic, all he wants to do is prune his 100 foot long, 10 feet high hedge. When the hedge comes to life and wants to take the boy away, it seems like a good idea.
