Synopsis: Mr. Gross Out

by | Apr 19, 2012 | My Writings

If a TV director doesn’t become a contestant on his own gross-out reality show his crew will be fired, but if he does participate he could lose his wife.

Richard Grohs is the Asst. Director of “Make Me”, a reality TV show that specializes in public humiliation for laughs. When his boss fires his Old School staff, demanding even grosser shows and better ratings, Richard is the default Director. As Richard and his two buddies, one a show writer, the other an actor on the show, gear up for this new direction, they get word that the old boss has suffered an aneurism. Enter the new boss; the wife of the comatose owner. She has a huge libido and big plans for the three friends, personally and professionally. Her plans for the show are self-destructive but the friends know that she has the power to get them blackballed throughout the industry, forever, if they don’t meet her demands. When a mysterious women shows up bent on sabotaging the show, Richard becomes the chicken wing in a Hollywood tug-of-war that is a lose-lose situation for him. He either does as directed or his friends hit the street, unemployable in the entertainment business. If he doesn’t do what the strange woman wants, his wife will be the humiliated and will surely blame him. Due to a comedy of errors, Richard’s marriage is already on thin ice. This could mean the end of it. As the title implies, his life will only get worse before it gets better.
